Marissa Pryor is a dedicated and compassionate operations professional with a strong commitment to upholding ethical standards and ensuring equitable treatment for all individuals. Marissa is an avid advocate for social justice and human rights. This commitment underscores her belief that a well-functioning organization is one that aligns with principles of equity and empathy.
Marissa has held key positions such as a Special Assistant to the CEO & COO, Special Assistant to the COO, and Operations Coordinator. In these roles, she showcased her exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to streamline processes for optimal efficiency. She helped lead the transition of the National Society of Black Engineers’ 47th Annual Convention to a virtual space during Covid, created and implemented emergency action planning, restructured, and implemented innovative new system management and documentation processes, reorganized organization goal setting and strategic planning.
Marissa holds a BA in Sociology with an Anthropology Concentration with minors in Human Rights and Conflict Resolution and Women and Gender Studies from Christopher Newport University. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in public health at Old Dominion University.
In her spare time Marissa enjoys baking,crafting,gardening, and spending time with family and friends.
