Stephanie is a management consultant and technical assistance provider to the Juvenile Detention Alternatives Initiative (JDAI) and assists county and state governments in the implementation of juvenile justice improvements. Over the past 15 years, Stephanie has launched JDAI in over a dozen states, trained hundreds of professionals on pretrial justice standards and continues to guide justice officials in best practices across the country. Stephanie’s career includes adult and juvenile justice experience in a variety of program and policy-level positions. She founded the first youth Reception Center in Multnomah County, Oregon in 1998, which has been widely replicated. From 2006-2013, she served as the JDAI newsletter editor and publications manager, and managed a national training program for the Annie E. Casey Foundation. Stephanie is PREA certified and has a B. S. degree in Criminal Justice.
