DMC Action Network - Technical Assistance Seminars for DMC Coordinators
Overview
The DMC Action Network has designed a series of three Technical Assistance Seminars to further develop the expertise and leadership skills of local DMC Coordinators and other staff responsible for day-to-day operations of DMC reduction initiatives in Network sites. These intensive seminars provide practical guidance through information- and idea-sharing among peers, practice applications, and presentation opportunities.
The Technical Assistance Seminar Series includes the following sessions:
Seminar I: Facilitation of Dialogue and Players - December 7, 2009, Washington, DC
Facilitate DMC discussions and direct activities toward a specific set of outcomes.
Seminar II: Leadership in Strategy - May 12, 2010
Develop expertise in planning, executing, and monitoring DMC reduction strategies and ensuring their impact on reducing DMC.
Seminar III: Results and Preservation - December 2010
Planning for the sustainability of DMC reduction strategies.

Seminar I: Facilitation of Dialogue and Players
DMC Coordinators and other staff from Action Network sites traveled to Washington, DC on December 7, 2009, to participate in the first of the DMC Action Network's Technical Assistance Seminars for DMC Coordinators. Lisa Garry of the Center for Children's Law and Policy and Michael Finley of the W. Hayward Burns Institute co-facilitated the session.
