Valerie McDowell, Operations Manager

Valerie McDowell is the Operations Manager for the Center for Children’s Law and Policy. She is responsible for the administration and financial management of the Center.  Prior to this position, Valerie was the Office Manager for the Youth Law Center from June 2000 through March 2006 and provided all administrative support and office management for the Washington, D.C. office. Additionally, from 2002-2005, Valerie worked as the Project Managerr for the Faith-Based Foster Care Initiative in Detroit, MI, working with pastors and other faith leaders to bring about change to Detroit’s foster care system.  Valerie has a passion for community, education and the arts, particularly in helping others reach their full potential and volunteers in numerous capacities in these areas. Valerie graduated from the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University with a B.S. in Marketing and is currently pursuing a Masters in Nonprofit Management at Eastern University.
